Red Sea and Ethiopia cannot be separated - Prime Minister Abiy (Dr.)
Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed (Dr.) said that the Red Sea and Ethiopia cannot be separated forever.
The Prime Minister made this statement to the members of the House of People's Representatives at the 10th regular session of the 5th year of its term.
The Prime Minister said that the Ethiopian government and people did not want to kill anyone to use the Red Sea. He said that we should resolve the issue through negotiations, agreements and market rules.
We should also share and they should help; it is not possible to profit by harming Ethiopia, he said.
Anyone who thinks that Ethiopia does not need a seaport is mistaken in a natural law; the Red Sea and Ethiopia cannot be separated forever, he emphasized.
Prime Minister Abiy (Dr.) said that the Horn of Africa is a region that is divided and divided, not to be divided, not to be united, and that although there are peoples who are connected by culture and religion, it is an area with high competition and interference.
He said that the issue of the two waters is confusing us and expanding the forces that are interfering in our affairs, when it should have been a support for each other, it has become a problem transmitter.
For this reason, since the region has its own problems, great efforts are being made to expand this; he said that he is confident that it will succeed.
He recalled that the presidents of Djibouti and Somalia recently came to Ethiopia and were able to communicate with the people with the same culture and language.
When one neighbor should have been a shield, he became a bullet-catcher; he said that great efforts are being made to solve this.
