9/11/2018
The Addis Ababa Food and Drug Authority’s Akaki and Arada branches held the 8th Green Footprint Program under the theme “Planting Hope” at a special place called Mesilekia in Akaki, Qafle town.
The program was carried out in a way that demonstrated unity, cooperation, and hope for a better future after the national consultation.
The General Manager of the Authority, Dr. Muluembet Tadesse, was present at the program and explained that the Green Footprint is not only about planting trees, but also about planting hope for a clean environment, healthy life, and sustainable development for the next generation. After the national consultation, he emphasized that it is the responsibility of all citizens to develop the country through understanding, unity, and joint action, and conveyed his message, “The saplings we plant today are the hope of tomorrow, environmental protection, and the legacy of our generation.”
In the program, leaders of the Addis Ababa Food and Drug Authority, leaders of Akaki and Arada branch offices, and employees of the two branch offices participated in planting saplings, reaffirming their commitment to building a green, clean, and healthy city.
