The Addis Ababa Food and Drug Authority’s Arada Branch Office, in collaboration with the Community Participation and Voluntary Coordination Office, as well as private health institutions and pharmacies, has provided free medical care to various segments of the community.
In this charitable work, about 230 community segments received eye, dental and general health examinations and treatment; and the patients were provided with the necessary medicines for free.
According to the Deputy Director of the Authority’s Competence Assurance Sector, Ms. Tagist Bedada, who was present at the event, she indicated that the Authority has continued to strengthen its role in protecting the health of the community and to fulfill its social responsibility by coordinating with private investors.
The Deputy Manager added that she thanked the health institutions and coordinators who provided the necessary cooperation for the success of this charity work, noting that such activities further strengthen the ties between health institutions and the community.
