As an act of charity and humanity, free health check-ups and medical services have been started in Bole Sub-City, without depriving the economically disadvantaged of health care due to lack of capacity.
This service, which was launched in the framework of a 90-day volunteer program in the summer of 2018 under the motto "Kindness for the Rise of Addis Ababa!", is providing free check-ups and treatment to the residents of the sub-city who cannot afford treatment.
10 private medical institutions are participating in the free treatment, and it is stated that it will provide eye, dental, skin, pediatric and adult internal diseases and will reach more than 1500 indigent people who cannot afford treatment. In addition, it was stated that patients who are in critical cases of treatment will receive referral and medication services.
The Deputy Director of the Authority, Ato Fisa Abera, stated that the health support provided by private health institutions to the community alongside their business activities is exemplary and should be strengthened in the future.
Head of the Bole Branch Office, Ms. Aleme Bacha, for her part, assured that the free medical support provided by health professionals and institution owners to the needy will be strengthened in line with their social responsibilities.
