Addis Ababa City Food and Drug Authority is providing new and innovative qualification services from the center to the cluster in an online system.

The Qualifications Department reviewed the technology-assisted qualification process and noted that the system has streamlined service delivery and has enabled users to receive services without unnecessary queues and interruptions.

The Deputy General Manager of the Authority’s Qualification Sector, Ms. Tigust Bedada, who was present at the forum, stated that the use of technology is of great benefit to institutions and the authority by increasing operational transparency, reducing human error, speeding up service time, and updating the information management system. He said that especially since it is currently the qualification renewal period, institutions should renew their qualification certificates using the online system from July 1 to August 30.

The Director-General also stated that the authority will continue to strengthen the work it has started to build an efficient, transparent, accessible, and accountable government service by updating its procedures with digital technology.
