The branch office said that it has been able to reduce health risks to the community by coordinating with various security agencies to control more than 1,000 health, food, health and health-related institutions in the city during the first quarter of the fiscal year.
The branch office’s manager, Sister Munira Negash, said that through the strong control work carried out in the past months, more than 40 million birr worth of illegally traded medicines have been recovered from the government and more than 300,000 birr worth of expired food and beverages have been disposed of.
In her presentation, Sister Munira announced that during the quarter, 382 health and medical institutions were certified for compliance with the standards, and more than 500 grocery stores were sensitized on the dangers of food, beverages, and expired foods.
In addition, she announced that she had implemented a digital complaint and grievance system to prevent theft and corruption, and that she had provided free medical and medical services to 1,200 people during the winter, shared meals with 50 people, renovated 1 house for the poor, and planted more than 1,500 saplings in 3 rounds.
Finally, the branch manager, Ms. Munira Negash, called on the public to protect their health by not consuming contaminated products, in addition to maintaining the health of the food and beverages they consume, saying that they are also responsible for their own health.
