The Addis Ababa Food and Drug Authority Kirkos Branch Office is working with youth organizations and women's organizations, members of the Health Control Forum, residents' communities and stakeholders to make Addis Ababa free from tobacco smoke.
The office has launched a campaign at the city level, "Let's expose the methods that expose people to nicotine and tobacco addiction!" Under the theme of World No Tobacco Day, youth and women's organizations, members of the Health Control Forum, residents' communities, and stakeholders at all levels are carrying out extensive mobilization and awareness-raising activities to make Addis Ababa free from tobacco smoke and create a comfortable environment for its residents, and to prevent young people from becoming vulnerable to addiction.
The youth, who are the next generation of the country, should protect themselves from addictive activities, parents should pay close attention to the places where their children spend their time, it is necessary to fight against those who illegally harm our generation with tobacco and drugs, and we should all work hard to prevent tobacco use in our communities and create healthy communities and model villages.
