Finance Directorate Conducts Review Meeting on Operational Challenges and 2018 Fiscal Year Support and Monitoring Feedback.

The Finance Directorate of the Addis Ababa Food and Medicine Authority conducted a consultative review meeting for finance professionals across all branch offices regarding operational challenges and feedback from the 2018 fiscal year support and monitoring activities.

Mr. Fisseha Abera, the Deputy Director General of the Authority's Administration Sector, attended the forum. He emphasized that before enforcing accountability for certain financial errors, it is essential to build the capacity of professionals through training and awareness. He noted that gaps arising from skill and knowledge deficiencies should be addressed not only through formal training but also through self-reading and continuous learning. He urged participants to engage actively and apply the insights gained to improve their performance.

Mrs. Zuriash Ashebir, Director of the Finance Directorate, stated that the objective of the review meeting was to implement corrective measures for procedural gaps observed in the field. She highlighted the importance of aligning operations with correct procedures, ensuring timely budget utilization, and submitting financial reports on schedule.
