The Addis Ababa Food and Drug Authority, under the motto "Voluntary for a Healthy Community", announced that it will provide voluntary free medical services to the community members who cannot afford medical treatment from August 26-27/2017, in collaboration with health institutions in the city.
At the launch of the program, the General Manager of the Addis Ababa Food and Drug Authority, Ms. Mulu Tadesse, was present at the event and stressed the importance of strengthening our cultural values of cooperation and mutual assistance. She thanked the health institutions and professionals who participated in this good deed and conveyed the message that we should fulfill our social responsibility by strengthening such voluntary activities.
The launch program of the free medical voluntary service was attended by the senior leaders of the Authority, senior leaders of the city, and various voluntary community members. It has started.
Ato Fantahun Tadesse, the Manager of the Yeka Food and Medicine Branch Office, said that the free voluntary medical service being provided is being provided by coordinating 50 private health institutions in the city to strengthen our Ethiopian cultural values of support, understanding and compassion, and to ensure that private health institutions fulfill their social responsibilities.
Ato Fantahun added that free medical services have been provided to 1600 different segments of the society who cannot afford medical treatment, and that the treatment will start from August 26-27/2017.
