The Authority has confirmed that hotels, entertainment venues, and health facilities are ready to serve the guests arriving for the Irreechaa festival.

To safeguard public health, the Addis Ababa Food and Medicine Authority has ensured the readiness of food and health establishments—where guests arriving for the upcoming weekend's Irreechaa festival will stay and receive services—by conducting necessary inspections and monitoring to ensure they meet required standards, and by providing them with appropriate feedback. 
Today, the Addis Ababa Food and Medicine Authority celebrated the Irreechaa festival—an occasion symbolizing peace, love, and Ethiopian identity—under the theme "Irreechaa for National Consensus," together with its leadership and professional staff at all levels. 
Dr. Mulu-Embet Tadesse, Director General of the Authority, and Ms. Tigist Bedada visited the site and expressed their appreciation for the Authority's ongoing efforts to prevent illegal activities and ensure institutional preparedness, aiming to guarantee that guests arriving for the celebration can achieve their objectives without encountering any difficulties.
Finally, they emphasized that regulatory activities must be intensified and carried out in a coordinated manner—distinct from routine operations—until the conclusion of the event, in order to fully safeguard the needs and safety of the guests.
