The Addis Ababa Food and Drug Authority conducted a performance review of the activities carried out in the 6 months of the 2018 fiscal year with the branch office leaders and central directorates.
During the review forum, the Authority’s Planning and Budget Specialist, Ato Samsom Legesse, presented the major and key activities carried out during the fiscal year, problems encountered, solutions taken, and future focus areas for discussion.
The participants of the discussion also expressed the view that the joint implementation of the 6-month plan and the review were good and that we could learn from them, and that the activities not included in the report should be included.
Finally, the leaders of the authority explained that the ideas and opinions raised were instructive, that the manner in which the activities were carried out should be explained with reasons, that we should work based on our gaps, that we need to consider how free we are from theft and corruption, that our work should be witnessed by the community, and that we should work to support institutions to bring them up to standard.
They also emphasized that efforts should be made to create a comfortable working environment, that a model village should be created, and that coordinated support and monitoring should be carried out.
