Discussion on challenges in procurement process was held.

The Addis Ababa Food and Drug Authority Procurement Directorate held a work review discussion for procurement and asset management professionals from the center to the branches on the operational problems encountered in the sector during the fiscal year.

At the review forum, the authority's Procurement Directorate, Ato Shishge Dagnew, stated that it was an evaluation training forum aimed at identifying and sharing the challenges encountered in the procurement process during the fiscal year and solving and correcting the problems in the next fiscal year. He also conveyed a message that procurement professionals should fulfill their professional obligations to ensure that procurement is carried out in accordance with the guidelines and regulations.

The participants of the forum also raised the following ideas: the procurement agency provides poor quality materials, support and monitoring should be continued because it helps us see our problems, procurement experts who issue work orders are asked to make payments without knowing that the work has been completed, and branch leaders are pressuring to make payments outside of guidelines and regulations, and a wide discussion was held.

Finally, the directors and team leaders at each level responded to and explained the ideas and comments raised.
