The Addis Ababa Food and Drug Authority’s Competence Assurance Sector is carrying out activities to clean up health facilities data, from the center to the branches, so that health facilities from the center to the branches are properly registered in the Master Facility Registration (MFR) database of health facilities and that the information of registered facilities is timely, complete and a primary source of information for those who need the information.
The authority's competency sector is working hard to create a comprehensive master facility registration (MFR) system that will address the shortcomings of the previous system, with the aim of creating a conducive environment for participants in the various conferences being held by the city.
However, according to Ms. Tagist Bedada, Deputy General Manager of the competency sector of the authority, in order to strengthen the data management of health facilities, they have provided capacity building and work direction to the relevant bodies from the center to the branches, with the aim of ensuring consistency in the data management of health facilities by examining the previous limitations and providing continuous support and monitoring.
The Authority is working diligently on the development of a comprehensive master facility registration (MFR) system to address the shortcomings of the previous system, with the aim of creating a conducive environment for participants in the various conferences being held by the city.
The Authority's leaders and representatives of the Minister of Health were present at the site and provided work directions to the leaders and professionals of the Authority at all levels.
They emphasized that in order to achieve the goal of improving service delivery through the use of technology, we should all take responsibility for the accurate and accountable registration of health facilities.
