It was stated that the HIV/AIDS response should be ensured in a sustainable manner by overcoming challenges.

The leadership and staff of the Addis Ababa Food and Drug Authority celebrated the 37th World AIDS Day, which is being celebrated for the 36th time in our country, with the theme of “Ensuring the HIV/AIDS response in a sustainable manner by overcoming challenges.”

In her opening speech, the Deputy General Manager of the Capacity Building Sector of the Ministry of Health, Ms. Tagist Bedada, explained that World HIV/AIDS Day is celebrated every year with the aim of reducing the spread of the disease by thinking about those affected. She conveyed the message that since the distractions that occur from time to time around the disease are not necessary, we all need to respond to reduce its spread.

Ato Sintayehu Goshu, a training specialist at the Nefas Sil Lafto District Health Office, presented the current HIV transmission situation, the main results recorded in our country's HIV/AIDS prevention and control efforts, as well as the problems recorded in HIV/AIDS prevention and control programs and the solutions proposed as a basis for discussion.
Finally, participants held a discussion on the topics presented.
