The Addis Ababa City Food and Drug Authority Health Institutions and Professionals Qualification Directorate has held a planning alignment forum to help achieve a common goal, increase performance effectiveness, and ensure consistent performance.

The main goals, key performance indicators (KPIs), and implementation strategies of the directorate for the 2019 budget year were discussed with the branch offices, and it was noted that the sharing of plans plays a significant role in creating a common understanding among all work units, reducing overlapping tasks, strengthening accountability, and increasing the overall performance effectiveness of the institution.

The Deputy Manager of the Competency Sector, Ms. Tigust Bedada, was present at the forum and stressed that in order for the 2019 budget plan to be implemented with tangible results, a coordinated approach, continuous communication, and a consistent approach that can strengthen mutual accountability should be followed among all work units.

Ms. Tigust Bedada, in her message, stated that “A plan should not just remain on paper but should produce tangible results in practice. For this, all branch offices should work in coordination, accountability, and with a common goal. The services we provide to ensure the health and safety of the community should be seen as quality, efficiency, and effectiveness.”
