The main objective of the Tennette app is to provide the community with seamless access to medical services and medicine, and to provide streamlined medical services, the Minister of Health said at a 2-day forum organized by the Addis Ababa Science Museum from November 1 to November 2 /2018. In addition to modernizing the service delivery of health institutions, it was also stated at the forum that Tennette will play a major role in making the service delivery more accessible by making it paperless and more efficient, and that it will enable the user to get streamlined services. It has been announced that hospitals, medical centers and pharmacies in Addis Ababa city have fully registered with the Tennette app and have started providing services in this system. The Deputy Manager of the Regulatory Sector of the Authority, Ato Enga Ereketa, attended the program and explained that the Tennette app application will enable consumers to easily benefit from health services and will also allow service providers to expand their reach and maintain their legality. He also pointed out that extensive awareness-raising training is needed for implementing bodies and professionals to fully implement this application and expand it to the regions and make it national. The State Minister of Health, Ms. Sarela, stated that the Tennette App application will be launched in Addis Ababa and will be expanded to other regions. The State Minister stated that the Addis Ababa Food and Drug Authority has contributed significantly to the work done and the results achieved, and said that more cooperation and collaboration are needed. Finally, the authority was presented with a certificate of appreciation and recognition along with a trophy.
