2/3/2018 AD The Addis Ababa City Administration Food and Drug Authority established a Service Delivery Advisory Council from the Health Regulatory Forum. The formation is said to be to strengthen the Health Regulatory Forum and to support the overall regulatory work of the health regulatory sector and improve service delivery. The Authority’s Deputy General Manager of the Administrative Sector, Ato Fiseha Abera, who attended the forum and made an opening speech, stated that the Authority aims to improve the services provided by the Authority by involving stakeholders and creating a supportive force to address problems in both the food and health sectors. The Director of Service Delivery Monitoring and Support, Ato Mebratu Taema, gave a comprehensive and documented explanation of the importance of the Service Delivery Advisory Council, its objectives, and future work directions and plans. The established Service Delivery Advisory Council is responsible for collecting and resolving complaints from the community, identifying and resolving malpractices, presenting them to the authority for resolution, identifying and resolving practices that are not conducive to service delivery, providing information to the community regarding the authority's services, and dispelling misconceptions, among other tasks and responsibilities of the established Service Delivery Advisory Council.
